doctrine of devils.  The websites included below are intended to provide the diligent truth-seeker with a thorough understanding of this topic.  We at Inquisitive Christianity do not agree with much of the content included in these websites.  Nevertheless, we believe that these websites offer valuable information for those who seek the truth and are spiritually mature enough to exercise discernment.  We also think it is important to understand what those who disagree with us believe in order to fairly represent their position and also to better defend our own.

National Center for Science Education

The National Center for Science Education is the only U.S. organization whose sole purpose is to support evolution and oppose creationism.  It is a 5,000+ membership organization consisting of scientists, teachers, clergy, and citizens with diverse religious and political affiliations.  The NCSE purpose is to provide information and resources for schools, parents, and concerned citizens working to keep evolution and climate science in public school science education. The NCSE educates the press and public about the scientific and educational aspects of controversies surrounding the teaching of evolution and climate change, and supplies needed information and advice to defend good science education at local, state, and national levels. 



American Institute of Biological Sciences

The American Institute of Biological Sciences builds community in support of researchers, educators, and scientists who understand the importance of sharing biological discovery and knowledge.  In creating education resources, monitoring public policy, providing peer-review of scientific applications, programs, and scientific literature, publishing timely biological sciences information, and implementing dynamic public outreach programs, AIBS is ensuring the future of the biological sciences. 



Public Broadcasting Service: Evolution Project

The PBS Evolution Project is an eight-hour television mini-series whose goals are to heighten public understanding of evolution and how it works, to dispel common misunderstandings about the process, and to illuminate why it is relevant to all of us.  The project also offers an evolution library featuring hundreds of links to additional content regarding the subject of evolution and teaching resources for both teachers and students.

This site is designed to counter the misinformation of creationism with the correct information of science by offering brief and readable analyses not only of nominally scientific creationist assertions, but of moral, philosophical, and theological ones as well.



Understanding Evolution

Understanding Evolution is a non-commercial, education website, teaching the science and history of evolutionary biology.  This site is here to help people understand what evolution is, how it works, how it factors into their lives, how research in evolutionary biology is performed, and how ideas in this area have changed over time.  The site features Evolution 101, teaching materials, and a resource library.

Evolution: Education and Outreach addresses the question of why we should care about evolution by exploring the practical applications of evolutionary principles in daily life and the impact of evolutionary theory on culture and society throughout history.  Targeting K-16 students, teachers, and scientists alike, the journal presents articles to aid members of these communities in the teaching of evolutionary theory.  It connects teachers with scientists by adapting cutting-edge, peer-reviewed articles for classroom use on varied instructional levels.  The journal features multi-authored papers written by teachers and scientists and offers teaching tools such as unit and lesson plans and classroom activities, as well as additional online content such as podcasts and powerpoint presentations.

Radiometric Dating Resource List

The Radiometric Dating Resource List provides resources, some on the web, some not, which can be consulted by anyone interested in learning more about how radiometric dating is done, or in responding to arguments criticizing radiometric dating.  The purpose is to show through these resources that young-Earth creationist criticisms of radiometric dating are inadequate at best.
